Enjoyed it. Scarlett wants to prove her dad's innocence. Matt, assigns himself as her protector. Hate the use of God's name, unnecessary. F-words.

A Deadly Affair
Wow!! Absolutely loved it! Scarlett is determined to clear her dying father's name, so she plans to plant one of her specialized bugs in the office of the Russian ambassador but her plan is unsuccessful & blows up in her face. Now she is stuck with FBI special agent, Matt, who doesn't believe in her father innocence but knows her plan has now put her life in danger. As he plays bodyguard, he also looks into her fathers case & with the help of some other famous agents start digging which makes someone even more determined to not be discovered begin the final cover-up....

Enjoying this series
Thoroughly enjoying reading my way through this series by Toni Anderson. Once I find an author who writes what I like to read, I can't help but work my way through their books - even if not in order. These books are stand alone stories which is great. Drama, suspense, romance and great characters - what more could you ask for?

Just great! perfect mix, for me, of mystery, spies and romance. These elements were mixed in a way that made reading the book fun, interesting and sexy. Toni Anderson is one of the really good ones.

Fast Paced Suspense, One Hell of a Ride
This series keeps getting better and better. Cold Light of Day is a smart fast-paced suspense full of political intrigue and confirms that the Cold War is not over. Scarlett Stone naively tries to clear her father's name by going up against the Russian spy who put him in jail in the first place. Her intentions may have been well intentioned, but the results could be disastrous. Cue up FBI agent Matt Lazlo, who isn't sure whether to believe Scarlett's story about her father or her being totally honest or if she too might be a spy setting up the FBI. But as new information comes to light and bodies start to fall, will Scarlett and Matt be able to not only clear her father's name and get him out of jail or will they become collateral damage in order to keep secrets untold and traitors unrevealed. Page turning suspense, great plot, wonderful romance and an ending I didn't see coming. Fantastic!!!!
